Skyfly’s Axe VCA (Vertically-Capable Aircraft) will be making its first visit to the United States this July, appearing at the world’s largest airshow: the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
AirVenture is the world’s largest aviation event, with over 10,000 aircraft flying into the show most years. The event also attracts huge crowds – typically over half a million spectators from over 90 countries, as well as 800 members of the media and a similar number of commercial exhibitors.
Well-known for showcasing the very latest in general aviation technology, AirVenture has long been seen as one of the go-to events for private pilots from around the world.
“I’m incredibly excited to be taking our aircraft to EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh – hands down the biggest airshow in the world. This is a milestone moment for our team and our technology. I’m even more proud to announce that, assuming we receive our experimental permit in time, the aircraft will be flying into the show. To not just be exhibiting but actually flying in means people will get to see the aircraft in action, not just on static display. It’s a powerful statement of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed.”
– Michael Thompson, CEO, Skyfly
Skyfly will be located at stand 421. Here, you will be able to meet the team behind the Axe and get up close to the aircraft itself.
